The Twins: Year one.
"Happy birthday to youuuuuu..." Alison was singing to the twins as she got them bathed and dressed for their very first birthday party. She had been singing all day. All sorts of songs, with Happy Birthday randomly thrown in. Hana giggled every time Alison elongated the word 'you'. Aiden was too busy playing with the plushie frog face on his new shirt.
"Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuuu!" More giggles. Alison tugged a pink shirt with a fluffy, white lamb's face on it over the little girl's head. Each baby had matching pants and little socks to go with the shirts.
She scooped up one wiggle worm in each arm and headed down the stairs to the living room. "Happy birthday, Aiden and Hanaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Happy Birthday to you!"

He propped himself up on his elbows. He glanced at a placidly calm Asuka. No warning alarms went off in his head. Then again, she was a master ninja.
"Alison made them watch Sleeping Beauty one too many times." He nodded. He liked the Disney version a lot better than the one he read in a book somewhere.

Dakota chuckled as he settled Winona in the bassinet and put it off to the side.

"See? Told y'all it wasn't fatal."

And that would have been BAD. Longshot promised her another baby, darnit. She wanted a baaaaaaaaby!
Her husband got a long, significant look.

The jonin seemed busy playing with her grandson. She blinked and nodded. She was not letting her little grandson go! The tickle monster could come back and get him.

Oh. Right. Company.
She blinked and looked around for the gift table. "Lisa? Gloria Jean? Want to divvy up the presents for the little squirts?"

"Yay! Present time!" He bounced in place and waited for the babies (and grandparents) to start the opening!

Grandpa helped by making a tear in the paper and guiding her hands to it. Then it was much easier to rip! And he helped further by gently wresting the handful of paper out of her mouth when she shoved it in.

His eyes widened as Grandma brought one of the packages closer. Then he... smacked his hands down on the package! Wheee!
But... uh, oh! He broke the shiny paper. He looked up at Grandma with his little lip sticking out and wobbling. He didn't mean it, Grandma! She had to believe him.
Grandma just smiled gently and kissed the top of Aiden's head. She shook the package to get his attention back to it. Then she carefully peeled where Aiden tore it back. She made a happy gasp when she stopped.
Aiden grabbed with both hands to do it, too! He'd show Grandma!

Hana's present revealed a stack of baby books with big, colorful pictures and textured items in them like fuzzy sheep and shiny mirrors.
Aiden's box contained large, colorful building blocks made of foam.

Somewhere in that pile of presents is a Little Superstar Jammin’ Band Piano for Hana and a Little Superstar Bop ’n Beats Drum Set for Aiden. Rogue figures Alison won't mind musical presents.

Gloria Jean stood to the side and bounced on the balls of her feet as the presents got opened. She really really really really really hoped the babies opened her gifts next. She had spent a lot of time and care picking hers out.
She had gotten (with some money from Dad) two stuffed animals: a soft little lamb for Hana and a gruff little billy goat for Aiden.

Before the frenzy was over, Hana had amassed an impressive pile of toys. A barn playset that made animal sounds, more building blocks, large crayons and over-sized coloring books, an alligator that wiggled and walked when pulled on a string, and a plastic whale bath toy that she could squirt Mommy and Daddy with!

Longshot snuggled Alison through the present-opening carnage. When there were big piles of stuff beside both kids and no more presents at hand, the Mojoworlder knew it was his time for the big presents.
"A couple more!" Longshot called out happily before kissing Alison on the cheek. Then he slipped out of her arms and disappeared to bring in the two big presents for the twins.
"Tah dah!"

Both babies cooed and made grabby hands!

"C'mere. Daddy's gonna help you ride." He settled Aiden on the little quad bike.
"Vroom vroom?"

Aiden giggled and bounced in the seat. "Vroom!"

He grinned and kept a hand ready to catch his son should he try toppling off for some reason. Possibly excitement.

Hana peered up at him with a baffled expression until he made 'crashing' noises and then she laughed again. Alison laughed, too, and turned the bike around to set the baby biker back onto a safer path.

Longshot duck-walked along with Aiden. Staying crouched right beside his son was tantamount. He gently kept his hand on Aiden's back to let him know Daddy was still there with him.

Soon, she was chasing her brother...

Eventually, he got more comfortable. Having his Daddy right there helped. Now, his forehead was scrunched as he tried to figure out how pulling the handlebars this way and that made his ride move differently. He was completely unaware of his sister behind him.
