Follow the sound of my heartbeat.
Before Longshot, Robbie and Miyuki had left for camp, Alison had politely, but firmly asked Robbie and Miyuki to find fun diversions in camp. Lengthy ones. She wanted her husband all to herself at least until sunset.
It took about an hour to organize, but when Alison finally retired upstairs, the lights were out and the shades drawn on all the floors. The only illumination came from tiny, floating candles in shallow water dishes placed on every other step on the stairs. One the landing of each floor, she had placed an item for him to find.
On the first floor, at the bottom of the stairs, a CD copy of his favorite French singer's newest album was tied with a gold ribbon. A tag attached to the ribbon read, Follow the lights.
On the second floor, a package wrapped in shiny red paper and silk ribbon. The tag read, Don't open this yet.
On the third floor landing, a second package was wrapped in white, shiny paper and ribbon. The tag read, Not yet. Keep moving.
On the fourth, two long-stemmed wine glasses waited for him.
The candles continued up the stairs to their bedroom. Inside, dozens of red candles of every size were lit in containers all over the bedroom. Spread out in front of the balcony doors was a soft fleece blanket. Several covered dishes were set out on it and two bottles chilled in a bucket of ice.
The tiny, floating candles created a path from the door to the bathroom where rose scented steam rolled out from under the door. Inside, Alison was sitting on the edge of the filled bathtub in a red silk robe. She drew small circles on the tile at her feet with her toe and waited for her husband to arrive. Hopefully, it would be before the food or the water got cold.

About change.
Someplace else.
Bah. It wasn't as important as what he was doing now. Which was kissing his wife with a little breast groping thrown in.
Until he set his hand down on her lap and got a palm full of cheese. He broke off the kiss and eyed the contents of her lap. Oh. Right. Movie watching food.
With movie he needed to put into the movie playing thingygummy. "Don' wanna get up," he muttered.
no subject
"Want me to? I'll put the disc in if you hold the food."
no subject
"An' holding the food is no fun compared to holding you." He gave her a light squeeze.
no subject
"And when I come back, you can hold me all you want."
no subject
He winked. "Nothing to break your enjoyment of watching a movie, of course."
no subject
Then, she moved the blanket and food off her lap to beside him on the couch. She reluctantly untangled herself and got to her feet, heading for the DVD player. Fortunately, the disc was easy to find.
She might, maybe, watch it once in a while...
no subject
He stayed sprawled on the couch, taking up as much room as possible so she had no choice but to sit on him. "So, if I got a really big nose, would some other part of my body shrink? To make up for the new length of skin."
no subject
When the movie was in and spinning away, she went back to the couch. His sprawl made her grin as she untangled the blanket from the food to wrap around them as she curled up in his lap.
"Start growing a big nose and I'll have to start calling you Pinocchio. Except for the part where you never lie." She smiled and kissed him lightly.

He stomach rumbled softly for once. "Need food. Before your neck looks too tasty to resist."
no subject
She started opening and unwrapping the food. Her 'feed husband' instinct was almost on par with her 'sex with husband' instinct. She piled a cracker up with cheese and ham slices and held it out to him.
"Open up."
no subject
As requested, he opened his mouth wide. Because letting his wife feed him was just fine in his book. As long as he got to do the same to her. But not right at the moment.
no subject
She smiled as she slid the cracker into his mouth carefully. No choking for him. She patted his chin gently and curled back up against him.
no subject
He snagged a piece of cheese and carefully held it up for her. They both had been energetic. She needed food as much as he did.
no subject
She took the cheese he offered to her, biting it carefully until it was too small to bite any longer. She winked at him and nibbled lightly at the tips of his fingers.

His other arm remained around her waist; his hand rested lazily on her hip. His middle finger brushed back and forth, rolling his wedding band back and forth against her skin. He was trying to suss out if he was supposed to be watching the movie on the television or not.
no subject
She turned her head and glanced at the television screen for a few minutes. One of her hands trailed lazily up and down his chest. He was a very distracting movie-watching companion.
no subject
He reached over and plucked up a couple pieces of ham. He popped one in his mouth and offered her the other. There was a distinct feeling they both might need plenty of food before becoming totally distracted from the big schnoz movie.
no subject
She took the offered ham and chewed it slowly, more interested in snuggling against him than she was eating.
no subject
Also, snuggling was good! She didn't need to be distracted by feeding him if she kept up the snuggles. Even as shifted a little against him.
He reminded himself to wait until the food was gone. Crunched crackers were hard to get out of the futon couch.
no subject
She wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled her face against his skin.
no subject
It wasn't as good as Finding Nemo to his mind, but it had swordfights. And the mush Ali liked. And the ... face against his skin.
He closed his eyes at the nuzzling and sighed happily. He brushed his fingertips up and down her arm.
no subject
"When should we be expecting our younger-generation ninjas to come home?"
no subject
He cracked open one eye. "I'd be there, too, because of all the chocolate I got. Except I got you to help me work off all that energy..."
no subject
"When I'm done with you, you'll be too tired to even think about training." She purred against his ear and nipped the earlobe gently.
no subject
Couldn't be. She was pushing every good button.
But if it was? Slow. Slow and easy. He could do that. He'd managed it a time or two.
He skimmed one hand up her side and then over to cup her breast. The other arm was still around her waist, but the hand was sinking down to squeeze a little cheek.
"Promise?"
