Follow the sound of my heartbeat.
Before Longshot, Robbie and Miyuki had left for camp, Alison had politely, but firmly asked Robbie and Miyuki to find fun diversions in camp. Lengthy ones. She wanted her husband all to herself at least until sunset.
It took about an hour to organize, but when Alison finally retired upstairs, the lights were out and the shades drawn on all the floors. The only illumination came from tiny, floating candles in shallow water dishes placed on every other step on the stairs. One the landing of each floor, she had placed an item for him to find.
On the first floor, at the bottom of the stairs, a CD copy of his favorite French singer's newest album was tied with a gold ribbon. A tag attached to the ribbon read, Follow the lights.
On the second floor, a package wrapped in shiny red paper and silk ribbon. The tag read, Don't open this yet.
On the third floor landing, a second package was wrapped in white, shiny paper and ribbon. The tag read, Not yet. Keep moving.
On the fourth, two long-stemmed wine glasses waited for him.
The candles continued up the stairs to their bedroom. Inside, dozens of red candles of every size were lit in containers all over the bedroom. Spread out in front of the balcony doors was a soft fleece blanket. Several covered dishes were set out on it and two bottles chilled in a bucket of ice.
The tiny, floating candles created a path from the door to the bathroom where rose scented steam rolled out from under the door. Inside, Alison was sitting on the edge of the filled bathtub in a red silk robe. She drew small circles on the tile at her feet with her toe and waited for her husband to arrive. Hopefully, it would be before the food or the water got cold.

She pushed up with her knees and arms and let gravity bring her down hard against him. Long past teasing, she was soon moving as hard as she could without risking harm to either of them.

Then he used his arms to help pull her down hard against him as he used his legs to push up into her. He moaned her name every time stars danced on the edge of his vision. Which happened to be about every thrust.
He grit his teeth. Za's Vid he had wanted her since he saw her in her bathrobe in the bathroom. He had gotten her once, but that hadn't totally quenched the fire riding low in his gut. He kept pressing harder and meeting her rhythm as best he could.

She hissed between clenched teeth every time their bodies slammed together. Her fingernails dug slightly into his knees as she fought to keep her grip on him. She had to tip her head back to breathe. Everything was moving so fast.
She was dimly aware of her body beginning to shake. At this pace, she wouldn't last long. That was alright, though. They had all night.

Good thing her head was tipped back. He didn't want to ruin what they had going. Nor did he want to miss the light show she was giving. It was a little bright, but he didn't mind.
He was the one making her lose control. This light show was all his. And that made him push as hard as he possibly could into her without hurting her. The level he held back was changed. He wasn't quite going all out, but he was getting darn close.
"Grah! Ali!" He slammed his hips into her one last time, and that was all his body could take. His back arched off the bed as his climax hit. He wasn't paying attention to the light show or how hard his fingers were digging into her hips or how his moan actually sounded like a strangled growl. He was lost in the bliss of their bodies together.

His growl ran up her spine as she thrust down onto him one last time. Her muscles clenched around him and she shouted his name in a desperate cry as her world exploded in flashes of light -- not all of them behind her eyes.

"Love you," he whispered. He didn't know if she heard heard him or not. He didn't have the energy for anything louder. "Love you so much."
He rubbed her skin lightly and offered all of his body for her to settle on.

Alison didn't lay down on top of Longshot so much as melt. Any energy her body might have used to hold herself up had long since been spent on more enjoyable activities.
She snuggled down against his chest and sighed contentedly. "Love you," she murmured, not bothering to open her eyes.

He was content to lay there for awhile. All of today had been for him. Even when his hearts slowed their pace down, they would still be beating strong. Happiness gave him so much.
And he held his happiness against him. Every lovely inch of her. He grinned a little. "I'm a little confused on something. How are we supposed to top this on our wedding night like you told me?"
no subject
"I promise, the wedding night will be nothing short of perfect."
no subject
"And make a baby or two while I'm at it," he added.
no subject
"It will be. And I'm going to hold you to that, you know. Mmmm, can't wait to start our family together."
no subject
Anyway, there were odds whatever medicine she was using could be gotten around. Though that did leave one problem.
"We'll have one. Not too far away now. And you'll fit perfectly in your wedding dress. The perfect one. That the Wang lady's gonna design for you."
He nodded and kissed the top of her head again. Then he lingered there for a second to smell her hair. She always smelled great, though her best was always after making Longshot sweaty.

She smiled and leaned up on her elbows for a moment. "I just can't wait to hear our little one call you 'daddy'."
She winked and kissed him softly.

"Since I may not have mentioned it in the last five minutes... I love you."

He smiled and laid quietly there for a moment. Happy to have his wife on top and his fingers gently playing in her hair. Though he couldn't remain quiet for long. He hummed some tune that had been somewhere in his memories.

Her fingers stroked his arm lightly and her eyes drifted shut again. Everything in that moment was absolutely perfect.

He thought he had it beat. Right up until he burped chocolate and cannoli filling.
He winced and took the hand that had been playing with Ali's hair and covered his face.
no subject
"I shook you around a little too much?"
no subject
"I liked the shaking," he mumbled as his cheeks felt hotter. He stared up at the ceiling. Maybe it was a good thing there was no mirror up there. Soaring spitfires! At least he hadn't farted!
He clenched his cheeks to make sure that one didn't slip by him either.
no subject
"Guess I can assume you liked your meal and chocolate, huh?" She grinned and kissed his cheek.

His eyes were still staring at the ceiling. Darn gas. Had to ruin a moment of perfect peace. At least it didn't stink.
Which made him clench his cheeks harder. "I loved everything you did or made for me today."

"Sorry. You were so happy and content. And then I burped."
