Gloria Jean had decorated a couple cookies. Since she was using less frosting than her last cookie, they went faster. She wiggled back against Longshot when he gave her a squeeze, but she was too intent on decorating the Christmas tree cookie to stop. There needed to be a couple more M & M bulbs.

Dakota sighs again. More softly this time. He stroked her hair gently. "Don't worry about it. I'll be okay."
